Sometimes. The advertised price for online GLP-1 treatment is often the price of the first month, at the starting dose, before any membership fee. At Forva, compounded plans renew at the same rate every 4 weeks, at every dose your provider prescribes, with no separate membership fee: $199 every 4 weeks for semaglutide and $299 every 4 weeks for tirzepatide on the month-to-month plan. Compounded medications are not FDA-approved.
Why do some GLP-1 prices go up after the first month?
Four things usually explain it:
- A first-month offer. A lower price applies to the first order only, and the plan renews at a higher rate.
- Dose-based pricing. Treatment usually starts at a low dose that a provider increases over time, and some programs charge more at each higher dose.
- A membership on top. A monthly membership or care fee is billed separately from the medication.
- Prepaid math. A low "per month" price that requires paying for several months upfront.
None of these is unusual, but each one changes what you actually pay over three or six months. That's why the renewal price matters more than the first charge.
What should you check before you pay?
- What the plan renews at after the first charge.
- Whether the price changes when your dose goes up.
- Whether a membership or care fee is billed on top of the medication.
- What's included: provider review, medication, supplies and shipping.
- What happens if a provider decides not to prescribe.
- How to cancel, and how much notice you need before a refill.
What does Forva charge after the first month?
The same rate, every 4 weeks, until you cancel. These are the compounded plan prices as of October 2026:
| Plan | First charge | Renews at | Membership fee | Higher doses |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Semaglutide, month to month | $199 | $199 every 4 weeks | None | Same price |
| Semaglutide, 48-week plan | $1,668 | $139 every 4 weeks | None | Same price |
| Tirzepatide, month to month | $299 | $299 every 4 weeks | None | Same price |
| Tirzepatide, 48-week plan | $2,868 | $239 every 4 weeks | None | Same price |
Plans also come in 12-week and 24-week lengths. Every plan includes provider review, medication if prescribed, supplies, shipping and ongoing support, and renews automatically until you cancel. The rate applies while your subscription stays active.
What happens if you're not prescribed?
You pay at checkout, before your provider review. If a licensed provider decides treatment isn't appropriate, no medication is sent and the full amount you paid for a compounded plan is refunded.
How do you cancel?
Email support@forvahealth.com. Cancel before your renewal date to avoid the next charge, and at least 72 hours before a refill is dispensed to stop that shipment. We confirm by email within 24 hours, with no retention offer required. Our refund policy explains what's refundable after you cancel.
GLP-1 medications can cause side effects, most commonly nausea, vomiting, diarrhea and constipation, and carry serious risks. Labeling for FDA-approved semaglutide and tirzepatide products includes a boxed warning about thyroid C-cell tumors. Your provider reviews these risks before prescribing. The FDA's information on unapproved GLP-1 drugs is worth reading before you choose any provider.
