Wegovy® is an FDA-approved semaglutide medication made by Novo Nordisk, as a once-weekly pen or a once-daily pill. Through Forva, an independent provider licensed in your state reviews your intake and, if appropriate, sends your prescription to NovoCare Pharmacy. Your Forva membership is $49 for your first month, then $99 a month, and you pay Novo Nordisk's self-pay price for the medication ($149 to $399 a month by form and dose) to NovoCare Pharmacy.

Medication prices are set by Novo Nordisk, current as of November 2026, and can change. This path is self-pay only: Forva doesn't bill insurance, and prescriptions sent to NovoCare Pharmacy from Forva are self-pay.

Step 2
A licensed provider reviews it
An independent provider licensed in your state decides whether Wegovy is appropriate. Not everyone qualifies, and some states require a short video visit.
Step 3
Buy the medication from NovoCare Pharmacy
If prescribed, your prescription goes to NovoCare Pharmacy, which texts you within about 48 hours to set up your account and pay, then ships the medication to you. Dosing instructions and care-team messages are in your patient portal.
Important safety information
GLP-1 medications can cause side effects, most commonly nausea, vomiting, diarrhea and constipation, and carry serious risks. Labeling for FDA-approved semaglutide and tirzepatide products includes a boxed warning about thyroid C-cell tumors. Your provider reviews these risks before prescribing.

How much does Wegovy cost through Forva?
Forva charges the membership: $49 for your first month, then $99 a month. NovoCare Pharmacy charges separately for the medication, at Novo Nordisk's self-pay price. The Wegovy pill is $149 a month at 1.5 mg, $199 at 4 mg and $299 at 9 mg and 25 mg. The Wegovy pen is $349 a month at most doses and $399 at 7.2 mg. Novo Nordisk sets these prices and can change them.
Is there an introductory price on the Wegovy pen?
Yes, from Novo Nordisk: $199 a month for your first 2 fills at the 0.25 mg and 0.5 mg starting doses, then $349. It's for patients new to NovoCare Pharmacy or the Wegovy savings offer, and runs through December 31, 2026. Novo Nordisk has no introductory price on the pill.
Pen or pill: which one will I get?
You choose the pen or the pill in your intake, and your provider decides whether it's appropriate. The pen is a once-weekly injection, and the pill is taken once a day.
Is the medication included in the membership?
No. The membership covers your provider review, sending your prescription, dose changes and refills, and ongoing support. You pay for the medication separately, at Novo Nordisk's self-pay price.
Does Forva bill insurance?
No. This path is self-pay only. Forva doesn't bill insurance, and prescriptions sent to NovoCare Pharmacy from Forva are self-pay.
What if I'm not prescribed?
If your provider decides treatment isn't appropriate, your $49 first month is refunded in full.
What if I'm prescribed but decide not to buy the medication?
Email support@forvahealth.com to cancel before your next monthly charge, and we'll close any open prescription. Because your provider visit has already taken place, your $49 first month isn't refunded.
Where does my Wegovy come from?
Your prescription goes to NovoCare Pharmacy, Novo Nordisk's self-pay pharmacy service. NovoCare Pharmacy texts you within about 48 hours to set up your account and pay for your medication, then ships it to you. That payment is separate from your Forva membership. Nothing after 48 hours? Call NovoCare Pharmacy at 833-949-5527 and choose option 3.
How do I cancel the membership?
Email support@forvahealth.com at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current month, and you won't be charged again after that.
Is Wegovy the same as compounded semaglutide?
No. Wegovy is an FDA-approved semaglutide medication made by Novo Nordisk. Compounded semaglutide is not FDA-approved, is not a generic version of Wegovy, and is not the same product. Forva offers both; your provider decides what's appropriate.
